Terrance D. Lanier focuses his practice on business litigation, representing domestic and international air carriers, commercial airports, and their insurers in aviation and aerospace matters.
Terrance began his legal career as a fellow with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, where he conducted research and analysis on the state-tribal compact, gaming statutes, gaming regulations, and self-exclusion programs. Following the fellowship, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gregory I. Massing at the Massachusetts Appeals Court, assisting in the decision-making process for more than fifty cases during the 2017-2018 term.
Before joining KMA Zuckert, Terrance practiced business litigation at Fitch Law Partners LLP, a Boston-based firm that represents clients in all state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout Massachusetts and New England. He has experience in all phases of litigation and served as lead counsel in a bench trial in the Fiduciary Litigation Session of the Massachusetts Norfolk Probate Court. Terrance also has significant experience in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and conciliation, and regularly drafts customized agreements designed to facilitate mutually beneficial and lasting resolutions.
He was named to the Massachusetts Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list from 2021 to 2023, and the New York Metro “Rising Stars” list in 2025 for his work in business litigation.
