Taxation

Andrew S. Yingling focuses his practice on taxation, nonprofit organizations, and general corporate matters. He rejoined the Firm in 2025 after serving as an attorney with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where he worked on matters involving the taxation of exempt organizations. During his time at the IRS, Mr. Yingling played a key role in developing both published and private guidance, collaborated with the U.S. Department of Justice on tax litigation, and helped shape and implement the IRS's enforcement positions on tax-exemption issues.

While previously at the Firm, Mr. Yingling advised clients on a broad range of tax and corporate matters and frequently supported the aviation practice group on tax issues affecting airlines. He also regularly counseled nonprofit organizations on securing and maintaining tax-exempt status.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Yingling served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald B. Rubin of the Maryland Circuit Court. During law school, he worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Roger W. Titus of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and as a legal intern at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of Enforcement.
